Here’s what happened in February 2020

In line with TRREB’s 2020 outlook, February saw strong sales and price growth.

There were 7,256 residential transactions in February, representing a  45.6% increase in sales compared to February 2019.

After seasonal adjustments, February saw a 14.8% sales increase vs. January 2020.

There was a 7.9% increase in new listings vs. February 2019.

Competition between buyers has increased resulting in a further acceleration of prices for February.

The average selling price for all home types combined was up 16.7% in February to $910,290.

Double-digit average price growth was experienced for most market segments, including detached homes and condo apartments.
